The first of many projects for First Group and Transpennine Express, our Manchester Airport railway station project was delivered under strict Covid-19 conditions at the height of the pandemic.

Our Approach
Appointed by First Group and Transpennine Express, this project included the full strip out refurbishment of the existing Male, Female and accessibility toilet, along with redeveloping the existing baby changing facility to create a bespoke unisex 'Changing Places' facility for end users.
The new facilities would be equipped to cater for customers with disabilities, features include a hoist, shower, adjustable toilet, basin and changing table. Due to the location of the station’s toilets, this was a challenging project logistically. Deliveries and removals had to be carefully co-ordinated so as not to impact on the day-to-day activities of the station, the wider Airport and adjoining bus and tram stations.
Even with the logistical challenges and Covid-19 protocols, the scheme and the further CCIF projects for First Group and Transpennine Express were delivered on time and within budget.
